Rules Summary

Players build groups of same-number different-color tiles or runs of consecutive same-color tiles. Make an initial meld, then keep adding and rearranging sets to play all your tiles before everyone else.

How to Play

Objective Be the first player to play all of your tiles by forming valid sets on the table. Setup Give each player a rack and randomly distribute 14 tiles to each player. Place the remaining tiles face down as the draw pool. Choose a starting player, often the player with the highest tile if using a reveal method. Turn Structure Check whether you can make your initial meld, typically totaling at least 30 points from tiles on your own rack only. If you can, place valid groups or runs onto the table. After your initial meld, on future turns you may add tiles to existing sets and rearrange tiles on the table as long as all sets remain valid at the end of your turn. If you cannot or choose not to play, draw one tile from the pool and end your turn. End of Game The game ends when one player empties their rack. Other players total the value of tiles left on their racks as penalty points, while the winner scores based on opponents' remaining tiles depending on the scoring method used. Notes A valid group is usually 3 or 4 tiles of the same number in different colors. A valid run is 3 or more consecutive numbers in the same color. Jokers act as wild tiles and can often be reclaimed under specific conditions depending on edition rules.
