How to Play
Objective Score the most points by collecting and protecting matching pairs or valuable sets of fantasy creatures in your kingdom before the game ends. Setup Shuffle the creature and action cards together to form a draw pile. Deal each player a starting hand, and leave space in front of each player for their kingdom of completed sets. Choose a starting player. Turn Structure Draw cards if required by the turn rules or begin with the cards in hand. Play a pair of matching creatures from your hand to your kingdom, or use a card to extend or improve your collection if allowed. Optionally challenge, steal, swap, or interfere with another player's sets using action cards. Defend your own sets with matching cards or protective effects when opponents target them. Refill your hand from the draw pile if the rules require ending the turn with a full hand. End of Game The game ends when the draw pile is exhausted and final turns are completed, or when a specified end condition from the official rules is reached. Players total the value of their creature sets and bonuses, and the highest score wins. Notes This game is commonly taught as a light, interactive set-collection game with direct player conflict. Exact card powers may vary by edition, but the core play involves making valuable creature pairs and protecting them from theft.
