Rules Summary

Players cooperate to stop monsters from reaching and destroying their castle. Use matching attack cards to hit monsters in specific colored sections, trade key cards with teammates, and survive until the monster supply is defeated.

How to Play

Objective Work together to keep at least one tower standing by defeating all monsters before they destroy the castle. Setup Place the board in the center and assemble the castle walls and towers. Shuffle the monster tokens/chits and place them face down, then seed monsters into the forest ring according to the setup rules. Shuffle the castle deck and deal cards to players based on player count. Each player controls the castle together rather than owning a personal faction. Turn Structure Draw up to your hand limit if needed, following the game round structure. Discard and draw according to the current phase if applicable. Trade cards with other players, usually limited to one card per turn unless modified by rules or effects. Play cards to attack monsters in matching colored arcs and ranges. Resolve hits, defeat monsters, and gain any rewards or trophies. Move all monsters one ring closer to the castle and resolve any breaches or wall/tower damage. Spawn new monsters according to the draw or monster phase. End of Game Players win if all monsters are defeated and at least one tower remains. Players lose immediately if all towers are destroyed. Notes The game is fully cooperative and often includes discussion, card trading, and tactical positioning. Some editions or printings support solo play, and difficulty can vary depending on monster draws.
