Build a team of heroes, use cards and items to strengthen them, and either defeat enough monsters or assemble the required party composition before your opponents do.
How to Play
Objective Win by either slaying a set number of monsters or building a full party containing a required number of different classes. Setup Shuffle the main deck and place it within reach. Lay out a number of monster cards in the center as required by the game. Each player chooses or receives a leader card, starts a party area, and draws an opening hand. Turn Structure Start your turn and resolve any effects that trigger then. Spend action points to draw cards, play heroes, play items, play magic cards, or challenge another player's action when allowed. Attempt to slay a monster by assembling a party member with sufficient roll support and resolving modifiers. Discard down if necessary and pass to the next player. End of Game The game ends immediately when a player fulfills one of the victory conditions, typically by slaying enough monsters or completing a full party of different classes. Notes Card effects and challenges create most of the interaction. Exact victory thresholds can vary by edition and player count, but the core play revolves around hand management, party building, and timing.
